Independent Soul Singer Shweta Sinha all Set to Add Her Unique Flavor in Maitri's New Season Opening Series

The next episode of The Maitri Project is going to host a dazzling performer- Shweta Sinha, an independent singer-songwriter, who believes in moving beyond the confines of normative rules.

Shweta Sinha is a young musician whose creativity is as limitless as she herself. Her agility across genres, languages and influences clearly reflects in her soulful melodies.

Shweta Sinha is one-half of the indie-pop band Two-Seater Melodies. She credits her inspiration to legends in acoustic pop, rock, indie, soul and folk-rock music. Apart from creating original compositions, she also loves doing covers of some of the more immortal classics. Most of her work is available on iTunes, Amazon Music and Spotify. As far as Match My [Talent]’s core audience goes, Shweta is a regular favorite.

This time around, Shweta is all set to recreate her brand of magic in Maitri 2.0 opening series with a special tribute to female musicians who, like her, have created their own paths and succeeded on their own terms. We could not be more thrilled to welcome such a talented musician and get another chance to hear her soulful voice.

Catch her Live Performance on The Maitri Project on July 10, at 7 PM IST.

Divyansh Srivastava Comes to Perform and Win Hearts on the Next Edition of The Maitri Project
The Maitri Project Added 3 years ago

Santoor Player Divyansh Srivastava is all set to grace the stage on the next episode of The Maitri Project.

This 25-year old Indian Classical Santoorist and composer specializes in the ‘Sufiyana Gharana’ of santoor tradition, which originates from Kashmir and is the only tradition of Santoor. The Sufiyana Gharana is known for its clear emphasis on both the Gayaki and Tantrakari, as well as the clarity of Raga.

Divyansh has been trained in this beautiful art form by Padmashri Pt. Bhajan Sopori of Sufiyana Gharana. Divyansh’s particular brand of Santoor is also the Sopori baaj, which is a revised shape of Santoor improvised by none other than his Guruji, Pt Sopori Ji. Before moving on to the Santoor, Divyansh was also trained as a vocalist in Hindustani Classical Music.

Divyansh has performed in myriad shows across the length and breadth of the country. He has performed in some of the most prestigious shows and concerts in India, including SaMaPa Sangeet Sammelan in Delhi, Bawra Sangeet Sammelan in Jalandhar, Ganga Mahotav in Varanasi, Prayag Sangeet Samiti in Allahabad, and many more. He has even participated in Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj in 2019.

The list of prizes and achievements won by Divyansh is far too many to count. To list a few, he has received honours and recognitions from the Sangeet Natak Academy in Lucknow, in the Hariwallabh Sangeet Pratiyogita, in Dr J.S Bawra sangeet pratiyogita, and even in the Akhil Bhartiya Sangeet pratiyogita.

Tickets for the online performance of Classical Santoorist Divyansh Srivastava are available now.
